Privacy Policy
This page is a working draft. Company registration is in progress and this wording has not yet had legal review. It will be updated before the site accepts real payments.
Hrit is built to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act: we collect only what a feature needs, use it only for that purpose, and keep it only as long as we need to.
What we collect
Seekers: name, email, phone number, and the audio and chat content of your sessions.
Saarthis: name, email, phone number, photo, bio and the topics you cover, plus your session history.
Who can see what
Saarthis never see a seeker's real name, email or phone number, only an alias. Recordings and chat messages are not reviewed by anyone unless a session is flagged or reported. Every access to a recording or a reported chat is logged with who accessed it, when, and why.
Recording and retention
Every call is recorded and every chat is stored by default. If a session is never flagged or reported, its recording and messages are permanently deleted after 14 days. A flagged or reported session is kept until it has been reviewed.
Consent
You give consent to recording and chat storage once, when you create your account. We store the version of this policy you agreed to, the time you agreed, and your account id.
Where your data is stored
Our database and file storage run in Supabase's Mumbai region. Server functions run in Vercel's Mumbai region. Payments are processed by Razorpay.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Write to hello@hritapp.com and we will respond to a verified request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops. We will post the current version here with the date it took effect.
