Become a Saarthi

Be the person someone needed to talk to. Listen, set your own hours, and earn for every call.

What a Saarthi does

A Saarthi is a trained listener. You take private audio calls of 10, 20 or 30 minutes with people who want someone to talk to. Your job is to make them feel heard: no judging, no fixing, and no advice they did not ask for. This is emotional support from a trained listener. It is not a medical or clinical service, and you never diagnose anyone or tell them what to do about their health.

What you get

  • You set your own hours. Publish the times you are free, and people book you.
  • You earn 60% of what each seeker pays for a completed call, paid to your bank account every two weeks.
  • Training before your first call, and support from us whenever you need it.
  • Privacy both ways: seekers know you by the name and photo you choose, and you know them only by an alias.

Who we look for

  • People who listen more than they talk, stay calm, and do not judge.
  • You are 18 or older.
  • A quiet place, a phone or laptop with a good internet connection, and headphones.
  • A few hours a week you can commit to.
  • You are comfortable with calls being recorded for safety. Nobody listens to a recording unless something is reported.
  • You do not need to be a professional. A background in psychology or social work is welcome, but it is not required.

How it works

We will write to you and, if it feels like a fit, arrange a short conversation.

  3. Training

Everyone completes our listening training before their first call.

  4. Set up your profile

Add your name, photo and a short note, and publish the times you are free.

  5. Take your first call
